Background
Julie is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), Board-Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) professional, and experienced insulin pump trainer. What truly sets Julie apart, however, is her personal journey—she has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since 1990. Having experienced the daily challenges of diabetes management firsthand, she brings a unique level of understanding, empathy, and practical insight to her work with patients. Julie also draws on her background as a Division I athlete, having played softball for the Wichita State Shockers.
In addition to her expertise in diabetes care, Julie works with patients across a variety of ages and health needs, including children and adolescents, individuals managing renal conditions, and those seeking to improve their cardiovascular health or achieve their weight management goals.
